CHANDIGARH, AUG 6 :A solid 124-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Mandeep (82) and Sumit (35) steered APJ School of Kharar into the final by beating Sant Isher Singh School of Mohali by 46 runs in the PCA-Boost Inter-Schoolb Cricket Tournament at PCA Ground 3 here today.
APJ School will now challenge Yadvindra Public School of Mohali in the final tomorrow at theYPS School ground.Batting first, APJ School piled up 204 for 4 in 30 overs. Mandeep’s brilliant knock of 82 was studded with seven sixes and three fours. Sumit made a polished 35 with the help of three fours and one six. Their 124-run fourth wicket stand bolstered APJ innings. Sahil contributed 17 runs.
In reply, Sant Isher Singh School were dismissed for 158 in 28.5 overs. Kavish Kesar (44, 2x6s, 2x4s), Amardeep (34, 4x6s), Ramandeep (23, 2x4s) and Amarpal (22) were their main scorers.
APJ’s Sumit was praised for his bowling as he took three wickets for just 11 runs.
