The India Post, Chandigarh, 28 Nov : St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32 D today celebrated its Annual Function "Fantasia 2008". Adviser to the UT Administrator, Mr. Pradip Mehra was the chief guest on the occasion.
Mr. Mehra while addressing the august gathering complemented and appreciated the efforts put in by the students and the faculty members for presenting a spectacular and dazzling show. He said that Education is very important but for the all round development of an individual it’s essential to have interest in other extra curricular activities and sports too. Children should engender the habit of reading books as "Reading is mirror to life and it makes an individual capable of understanding the human nature, added Mr. Mehra.
Reverent Father Thomas Anchanikal, Administrator Simla Chandigarh Diocese was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The fun filled evening with "Fantasia 2008" commenced with full vigor and extravaganza. The show began with a prayer dance in approbation of God. 45 students at one go, presented a group song full of melodious rhythm and enchanting delectable beats that enthralled the audiences and mesmerized them. The Hindi Play "Aaina" highlighted corruption, separatism, betrayal, exploitation rampant in society, Bibilical Dance "worthy is the lamp", the dynamic pulsating Bhangra and Ballet "Vanjara" gave gripping and captivating moments to one and all.
Principal, St. Anne’s Convent School, Parents, Faculty members and other distinguished guests were present during the annual extravaganza.
