Chandigarh: February 2, 2013: Central Bank of India today launched a campaign for enrollment of the inmates of Burail Jail for the Aadhar Card facility. Shri K.K Taneja, Zonal Manager, Chandigarh Zone informed that the Bank has also been a pioneer in the launching of Aadhar Enabled Direct Cash Transfer of benefits by the Government of India in the State of Haryana for the Ambala district. This step of the Bank to provide the facility of Aadhar Card enrollment to the inmates of the Burail Jail is yet another feather in the achievement list for walking that extra mile to take the Aadhar Card enrollment to every citizen of India.
Shri Taneja informed that Central Bank of India has enrolled 9, 77,823 people till 30th of January for the Aadhar Cards, and would try to take this facility to every citizen of India. This campaign being started at Burail Jail is a unique, vital and an essential step towards making the Aadhar Card available to every individual. It shows the determination of Central Bank of India to help provide the identity to masses, and stands true to the spirit of Nationalism.
