Baby Apoorva was very kind and used to distribute stationery items to needy children in the downtrodden colonies on her birthday. Keeping her kind-heart alive, the Foundation followed the tradition in her absence too and distributed stationery items today as she used to.
A blood donation camp was also organised today on her 11th birthday at Blood Bank, GMCH, Sector-32, Chandigarh. Simultaneously, it was also organised by her relatives in Australia and Canada also. As many as 51 people donated blood on this day.
A web site on child labour has also been started in her memory as she could never see a child working. She always thought that children had a right to study and every child should have an exposure to schools. The Foundation created a website against child labour to fulfill her wish. On this site, www.childlabournews.org , any body can contribute his/her stories. The Foundation appealed a gathering of people to contribute child-labour related story and photos by email at childlabournewsindia@gmail.com
A meeting of the members of Foundation was organized. In the meeting it was decided to increase activities of the Foundation to provide health-care facilities to poor by organising Health Camps at various places. Refreshments were given to the children getting training in acting at an NGO, Theatre Age.
The Foundation also decided to start free classes in Acting under the guidance of Mr . Mukesh Sharma, who has wide exposure of acting and direction in India and abroad.
