2 June : Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India is organising a Workshop on “How to make the generic medicines more popular in India” as part of the Jan Aushadhi Campaign on 4th June 2010 at 10.00 AM at the Press Club of Chandigarh, SECTOR 27-B, CHANDIGARH – 160027 (Ph : 0172- 2656774). On 25th April 2008, Government of India decided to launch the Jan Aushadhi Campaign and promote Jan Aushadhi Stores throughout the country. To start with, few state Governments have shown keen interest in this campaign and they are Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh , Delhi , Haryana, Orissa, Punjab , Rajasthan, and Uttarkhand.
We shall feel privileged if you can kindly attend the event and share your views on the subject and subsequently join us for lunch after the Workshop. Your participation would help us to understand the future strategies and also through your influence, promote the sale of generic drugs in the country and make medicines and Quality Healthcare accessible to all the consumers in the country. This is an initiative which needs your support and guidance to make it a big success. We are sure you will not disappoint us and the consumer organisations of your respective States, who have been active on this issue.
