Prof. Manavjit Singh Sandhu, Dr Naveen Kalra, Associate Professor and Dr. Kushaljit Singh Sodhi, Assistant Professor from the Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER, Chandigarh were honored at the 64th Annual Meeting of the Indian Radiological and Imaging Association held at New Delhi from 28th-31st Jan 2011 which was attended by around 5000 delegates from India and abroad.
Prof. Manavjit Singh Sandhu was conferred the prestigious Fellowship of the Indian College of Radiology and Imaging in the conference for his outstanding services and contribution to the field of Radiology and awarded the prestigious Dr. ML Aggarwal Memorial Oration. He spoke on ‘Medicolegal Aspects of Radiology’. Prof. Sandhu highlighted the importance of knowing the rules and laws that govern the practice of Radiology.
Dr. Naveen Kalra was awarded the coveted Prof. VP Lakhanpal Gold Medal for his outstanding contribution in the field of Radiology for the year 2009. Every year this honour is bestowed on one young radiologist from the country for his exemplary academic contributions. Dr. Kalra was given this award by the legendary Prof. VP Lakhanpal himself.
Dr. Kushaljit Sodhi was also conferred the Fellowship of the Indian College of Radiology and Imaging and is among the youngest radiologists in the country to be given this honour for his outstanding services and contribution to the field of Radiology.
