The development of strong leaders in public health is too important to leave it to chance. School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India in collaboration with Division of Public Health, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA is holding a workshop on Public Health Leadership from 30-31 July, 2013 at the Seminar Hall of School of Public Health. It has been sponsored by Indian Council of Medical Research. About 30 academicians, early and mid-career public health practitioners, health service providers (practitioner researchers) working in the field of health at state and district level, and civil society organizations working in the health field are participating.
This workshop will foster visionary leadership, systems thinking, and collaboration skills and specifically address competencies of demonstrate leadership skills for building partnerships and to use team-building skills to enhance team performance, use systems thinking for resolving organizational problems and develop partnership with other sectors to achieve better health outcomes in the Indian context.
