DR IT Group organized today blood donation camp that saw the College ‘s students and staff lined up at the center set up for this purpose in cooperation with concerned with the department of transfusion Medicine PGIMER, Chandigarh. The event is in the cooperation with the National Blood Bank Centre PGI.
According to the Chairman MR. M.K Mahajan said the effort is meant to encourage students to meet their responsibilities as good citizens and to serve the society by donating the blood. The CEO of the Group was also present on the occasion to facilitate the team of PGI.
According to the Director Prof. P.P.Arya, this takes the form of extending support to humanitarian organizations and charities. It is a service to the society to provide blood to those who are in distress need. This is our 4th blood donation camp.
Principle of the college, Prof. Gitanjali Bhatnagar and Col. Anil Kumar along with the faculty inspired others to donate their blood. The response was tremendous a total of 70 units of Blood were collected at a camp. Slogans like “Be Proud to be a Donor”, “No one shall die for want of Blood” were displayed at prominent places throughout the college and on notice boards which resulted in this overwhelming response from employees and others associated with it.
