Delhi : The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea seeking removal of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav due to his alleged involvement in the Vyapam scam.
The Apex Court said that it will hear the petition about the scam along with other pleas on the issue on thursday. The petition, filed by a group of lawyers, sought removal of Yadav and recording of his statement in the case.
The Special Investigation Team probing the scam has already filed an FIR against Yadav and his son over the scam.The head of the SIT has said action will be taken against the Governor after he retires.
The SIT Chief said that they have proof against Ram Naresh Yadav but he enjoys immunity till he holds the Governor’s post.
