Holi is always celebrated with great fervor and cheer and people across the country have already started celebrating the festival by applying colors on each other. People are also welcoming the festival with singing and dancing.
President Pranab Mukherjee greeted the nation on the eve of Holi. In his message the President said, “On the joyous occasion of Holi, I convey warm greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens. May this festival of colours promote oneness and harmony as well as bring happiness, good health and prosperity to all. Let us use this spring festival to spread the fame and fragrance of our composite culture far and wide”.
Vice President Hamid Ansari has also extended his warm greetings. In his message, the Vice President said, “I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the citizens of our country on the joyous occasion of Holi-the festival of colours. Holi, which marks the onset of Spring, is celebrated throughout the country by everyone, irrespective of class, creed or origin and symbolizes the unity in diversity of our nation. May this festival bless us all with peace, prosperity and happiness.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation for the festival of colors. In a tweet, PM Narendra Modi said: “Happy Holi to everyone. May this festival of colours fill your lives with lots of joy.”
