The government has decided to rename the prestigious missile complex in Hyderabad ‘Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex’ in honour of the late President. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar will attend the renaming ceremony at the Research Centre Imarat tomorrow, the 84th birth anniversary of the former President, also known as the ‘Missile Man’.
Kalam had joined the missile complex in 1982 and was a part of it for nearly two decades.
In New Delhi… Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the birth anniversary celebrations of former President, Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, at DRDO Bhavan tomorrow.
As part of the event, the Prime Minister will unveil a statue of Dr. Kalam. the Prime Minister will open and witness a photo exhibition titled “A Celebration of Dr. Kalam’s Life.”
Popular as the ‘People’s President’, Dr. Kalam died of a massive cardiac arrest on July 27 this year in Meghalaya.
