Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for cordial relations between teachers and students for helping the young generation in fulfilling dreams of their life.
While interacting with students outside national capital through satellite link on the eve of Teachers’ Day at the Manekshaw auditorium in Delhi , Prime Minister said that being a teacher is something different from all other professions and a teacher never retires in life.
Earlier, on his arrival in the function he was welcome by a teachers day song.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that a teacher is not bound by age and therefore a teacher can never retire. Talking about Former president Dr. Radhakrishna, PM Modi said that he never let the teacher inside him die. The Prime Minister was interacting with the students ahead of Teacher’s day.
Talking about the importance of teacher in one’s life, PM Modi said that mother gives birth to a child and a teacher gives meaning to life.
The Prime Minister said that cordial relation of teacher and student not only serves knowledge but also gives learning on how to lead a life and builds a habit of embellish one’s dreams.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also released two commemorative coins of Rs 125 and Rs 10 in the memory of former President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
He also launched the Kala Utsav website. Kala Utsav is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development to promote arts in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students at the secondary stage in the country.
Responding to students’ queries from nine cities during his interaction programme, PM promises 24X7 power supply across the country by 2022 for the benefit of students.
PM Modi also said students will be soon getting aptitude certificate in place of the existing school character certificate.
