Rather I am much confident that I started my journey two years before as the opportunities remain the same as for Miss India, just that I have this advantage of these two years, she smiles.
A pass out from sacred heart school and The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ooty, this groomed girl rather started winning at a pretty young age, by first winning the rose princess of Chandigarh when she was only six months old and then ‘ student of the year award’ in class 10th . Karuna now studies in class 11 at New Public School, Chandigarh and has opted for non medical subjects. Clear about her academic future, she plans to pursue her education from one of the top most universities of the world and make her parents proud.” If modelling or movies has to happen, it will happen but right now I am focused towards my studies” , she confirms.

Talking about ‘ the day’ she narrates,” Every contestant was very efficient, talented and confident about winning since they were the winners of their respective zones .The pageant had four rounds, the first was introduction which was followed by the fancy dress round, then was the time to show our individual talents on stage and last but not the least was the question and answer round which was supposed to be spontaneous. I was asked if a 12 yr old can fall in love or not? And I answered “No, a 12 yr old is not mature enough to fall in love .It can be friendship which they can feel as love at this age. In my opinion its an infactuation not love for sure”. I was completely dumbstruck when my name was announced as the Winner of this pageant.
Karuna besides being focused on studies right now, also is a dance enthusiast and passionate about horse riding and painting.
