By Ankur Vadhera , Chandigarh : The annual event of National Association of Psychological Science (NAPS), Indian Psychological Science Congress 2012, concluded at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46 on Saturday.
The event was focused at Psychological well-being. The final day witnessed the workshop on a psycho-educational program ‘Choosing the childfree or parenting lifestyle (CCOPL)’ which was among the prime attraction of the NAPS-2012.
Mudita Rastogi from Illinois University, Chicago (USA) conducted this workshop. Other than that a poster presentation on the theme of Psychological well-being was conducted.
Rastogi said, “Goal of workshop on ‘Choosing the Childfree or Parenting Lifestyle’ is to increase the quality of life for both childbearing couples and childfree couples by helping them to explore goodness of fit and congruence of their choice with their personalities and their lifestyle. It is to help couples who choose parenthood to prepare for the transition incorporating cultural and religious diversity.”
Delegates from all parts of the country right from Banglore, Kolkatta, Jammu, Chennai, Delhi and many other metros and small cities assembled to take part in the Congress.
Rajesh Kumar, Organising Secretary, NAPS, gave the vote of thanks along with Mahboob S. Khan from Aligarh Muslim University who presided over the workshop.
