Dera Bassi, November 29, 2015: A bunch of wild animals shared the spotlight this weekend at ATS Valley School, where monkeys, wolves, snakes, a tiger and other furry and feathered creatures performed Rudyard Kipling’s classic, The Jungle Book.
The school students immaculately brought the classic tale to life, and they did it all with the help of the school staff.The Jungle Book was staged to mark the 3rd Annual Day of the school here today.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp, invoking the light of knowledge and wisdom. Sandeep Sehgal, Principal of the school, gave a brief report on the school’s progress and achievements, and also spoke about his vision and plans for the future.
ATS Valley students brought to life on stage the exciting adventures of the man cub, Mowgli. Supported by a beautiful backdrop, spectacular sound and light effects, the brilliant performance by the students won applause of parents.
The stage was then taken over by the students for the entertainment programme. The programme began with a medley of peppy, foot tapping numbers, providing a trip down memory lane for many. The school band, which was formed just three months back, mesmerized the audience with their first public performance. The annual day concluded with a splendid display of fireworks, hot air balloons and party poppers.
