Chandigarh, April 29 – With a view to prepare the youth of the State to meet the challenges of 21stcentury, Haryana government would lay special emphasis to provide them technical and science education and to acquaint them with the functioning and progress made by the corporate sector, groups of 15 students each would be taken to different multinational companies.
This was stated by Mr Randeep Singh Surjewala, Haryana Industries Minister after giving away degrees at the first convocation of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Government College, Kaithal. In this function he distributed B.Com., Information Management, B.Sc., BTM, BAMC graduate degrees to 256 students for the academic session 2007-10 and 2008-11. Also, he announced to install two air conditioners each in four laboratories and one air conditioner each in two libraries of the college.
He said that the coming era would of nano technology and biotechnology, therefore we should be well prepared for the new computer age. Also, we should prepare ourselves psychologically keeping in view the mediums of global communication, he added.
He said that 60 per cent of the population in the country was of those below the age of 40 years.Therefore, they have keen desire to understand new technologies and information.
