February 5, 2018 : Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar has been honored with Dr. Radhakrishnan Education Excellence Award by Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage, Kolkata. Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has received this honor on the occasion of the 41st Annual International Conference on Oriental Heritage at Shree Adya Katyayani Shaktipeeth Auditorium, New Delhi. He was facilitated by the award for his high scholastic order and patronage for research and development in oriental learning such as literature, language, modernization, propagation and popularization of ancient knowledge making them relevant with modern perspectives.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar has also been honored with other prestigious awards earlier including Education Leadership Award, Life Time Achievement Award, Vidyasagar Award and Vijay Shree Award. He is the first UGC professor of India under FRP and also been a member of UGC-NAAC Team and Member of National Academy of Sciences India. Further, to his credit are more than 140 publications in the national and international journals of repute, research h-index 17 with overall 700 citations on the basis of research publications.
