Chandigarh, October 23 – National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has decided to provide six months free training programme to women candidates and candidates belonging to the families of scheduled caste and scheduled tribes for enhancing their professional skills in the field of Information Technology. Free training in three courses namely Advanced Diploma in Net Technologies, JAVA Technologies and Multimedia and Animation would be provided under the programme.
While stating this here today, Director General, Haryana Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Sumita Misra said as many as 1060 beneficiaries would be imparted free training under the Information and Technology (IT) for Masses Programme to enhance their professional skills for the purpose of their employment in the field of Information Technology. The training would be provided by NIELIT at four locations namely Chandigarh, Delhi, Shimla and Lucknow.
She said that last date of receipt of application for the free training in these three courses at Chandigarh was October 26, 2012. Any other information in this regard could be obtained from website www.nielitchd.in, she added.
She said that a candidate having BE or B.Tech or BCA or BSc (Computer Science), DOEACC ‘A’ Level or graduate in any discipline with PGDCA or graduate with DOEACC ‘O’ level or PG Diploma or Polytechnic Diploma in Computer Science or IT would be eligible for free training in Advanced Diploma in Net Technologies and JAVA Technologies. Final year students of above mentioned streams could also eligible to apply for these two courses.
Mrs. Misra said that candidates seeking free training in Advanced Diploma in Multimedia and Animation should have passed 10+2 with atleast 50 per cent marks. Admissions would be given on the basis of minimum qualification and merit. The beneficiaries’ annual income should not exceed Rs.three lakh each.
