Chandigarh : Centre for Sikh Studies, Sikh Educational Society, Sector 26, Chandigarh organized a lecture on the Topic of contemporary relevance of Janam Sakhi literature.
The event was held in the Conference Hall, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh. The Chief speakers on the occasion was Prof. Harpal Singh Pannu, Former Head, Department of religious Studies, Punjabi University Patiala. He explained how these sacred literally works are significant in guiding one’s socio religious, cultural and moral life today. That they also inform us about the socio economic and cultural life of the times. The Sakhies also guide us in the discourse of human relationships. The Function was presided over by S. Gurdev Singh, President, Sikh Educational Society, the note of thanks was delivered by Col. (Retd.) Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, Sikh Educational Society. Prof. S.S. Kang, Principal Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh provided all out support for the success of the Function. The function was organized under the expert guidance and supervision Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Co-ordinator, Centre for Sikh Studies. Students and the teaching staff enthusiastically participated in the event.
