Chandigarh : School exhibition is a students’ forum where they get an opportunity to express themselves brilliantly and artistically. They are always bubbling with fresh ideas and a zeal to break a new ground. With a view to make full use of their talents & creativity, students were involved in the creative work. Their work was put on display at the premises of Manav Mangal High school, sector 21-C, Chandigarh. The exhibits revealed the hard work of the young artists and their teachers.
On the occasion of Independence Day. Manavites saluted the freedom fighters for their selfless love for their motherland. Very deftly they reminded the visitors of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters who put their lives in danger to free India from the shackles of Britishers through their project Tribute to India.
According to Rabindranath Tagore “Woman is God’s best creation.” She adds beauty, grace and charm to every aspect of life. Women, once considered fit only for carrying out domestic chores, looking after the house and babies have expanded their role.They are fully capable of articulating their hopes and aspiration – whether it is ruling a country, scaling Mount Everest, flying in space or displaying effective managerial skills. So, through their project : Respecting Women is Religion, children gave a very clear message that women should be honoured and respected.
In the fast changing society, man has become prone to stress and depression. This has driven them to drugs. Drugs help them to relieve tensions, induce excitement and boast self-confidence but the period of ecstasy is short lived and has harmful effects in later life. The project : Addiction : Path to Hell brought forth various evils of addiction and at the same time also suggested how to shun them. Children were successful in creating awareness about ill-effects of addiction.
Nature is one of the “Almighty’s” creation and is so fascinating that a person in gloom changes to a person full of grace after feeling and admiring nature. From the sweet fragrance of flowers to the grace of trees, the music made by rivers and chirping of birds, every thing is evident of the fact that Nature is so very beautiful. Students of the primary section appealed one and all to love & preserve nature and not degrade it.
Films not only provide us with entertainment but are also helpful in spreading knowledge and information to common man. Education through films is very interesting and easily understandable too. The Indian film industry which was once considered backward, among other things in artistic and technical excellence, has made remarkable progress during recent years. Some films and actors have earned high international accolades for their outstanding qualities. Cinema: Now & Then a project by primary section, exhibited the journey of Cinema from Black & white Era to the modern colourful & glittering scenario.
The ancient system of Joint family gave way to the nuclear family system. Lack of residential space, rising prices, high cost of living, incompatibility of the members and a host of such factors have contributed to the disintegration of the joint family system. With disintegration of joint family system, there has been deterioration of values in the children. It is in a big family only that emotional needs of the children are properly catered to. They grow well physically and emotionally love, kindness, sharing, caring, humanity are some of the values a child learns from his family only.This is what children have conveyed through their project. My Family, My World.
Man is very inquisitive by nature. He is ever ready to learn more & more. After stepping on the Moon, Mars became favorite amongst the scientists. Through the project : Mars Mission, students informed about the different space crafts which have been sent to Mars. They also talked about the various investigations conducted over there.
Everyone who visited Haunted House, a project by middle section, came out of it trembling with fear. Horrifying figures and sounds were sufficient enough to send chill down the spine.
It is a common knowledge that Science & technology have made astonishing progress during the past few decades. Journey from Road to Sky; very well depicts the achievements man has made. From a cycle to a rocket is a long journey. It very well shows the hardwork, patience, perserverance and his faith in the motto “Stop not till the goal is reached”.
Class VIII showcased the amazing facts of this world in a very creative and artistic manner, students depicted the amazing things created by man and nature.The statue of Gomateshwara Bhagwan Bahubali atop Vindhyagari mountains, Jawahar Tunnel at Banihal, Rock Bridge of China, Howrah Bridge over Hoogly river and the largest flower, Rafflesia were some of the attractions of the project.
Common man is caught in the vicious cycle of materialistic pursuits which have led to an erosion of moral and spiritual values and has robbed one’s peace of mind. Lack of peace results in unhappiness, greed and crime in society. In their project children of primary section have conveyed a message that moral values like love, faith, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, empathy are the essential values to be inculcated in children of modern era and for peace in the world.
It is believed that service to mankind is service to God. God wants man to lend a helping hand to all those who are needy and bring smile on their faces. Blessed are the people who chose the path directed by God. Donations in the form of cash and kind are common but organ donation is still not popular . People are not aware that they can make a difference in other people’s life even after their death by donating their organs. Organ Donation : a project by senior students motivated the visitors to donate their organs and live after their death.
