Patiala: Yadavindra Public School, Patiala, celebrates its 64th Annual Academic Day on Friday, 22nd and Saturday, 23rd February, 2013. The first day showcased an Arts and Crafts’ exhibition put up by the school students.
The Arts and Crafts’ exhibition was held in the Preparatory Wing of the School. The exhibition “Talent Unleashed” began at 5:00 pm and was inaugurated by Mr. Ajeet Singh Pannu, IAS commissioner Patiala division (Old Yadavindrian – 1972), the Chief Guest for the occasion.
The exhibition comprised of exhibits, charts and models meticulously and arduously prepared by the students. It was a befitting occasion to showcase the skill, flair and finesse of the students in preparing and presenting art and artifacts on their own.
The Chief Guest went around the exhibition, inter-acting with the students and complimenting them on the excellent show put up by them. The exhibition was appreciated and highly praised by all the visitors, guests and parents.
Soon after the exhibition, the students put up a presentation of the ‘The Tempest’, one of the most delightful plays by William Shakespeare at Harpal Tiwana Centre for Performing Arts, Patiala. The play, which was performed with absolute poise and perfection by the school students, was applauded by the Chief Guest, Mr. Ajeet Singh Pannu, besides a host of guests, parents and dignitaries, who had been invited to watch the play. The play was commended and highly appreciated by one and all.
