Increasing pollution in Ganga great concern for Centre: Bansal

Chandigarh, February 7 :Mr.Pawan Kumar Bansal, Central Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, said that the increasing pollution in the Ganga was the matter of concern and the central Government  was planning to clean sacred Ganga. He said though it was the duty of the Centre and State Government to control this. The people should also be made aware about the danger of pollution.

Kumbh Mela to begin amid air surveillance, tight security

3 Jan : Amid air surveillance and heightened security, Uttarakhand is all set for the Kumbh Mela, which will begin on 14th January in Haridwar.
There will be no compromise with the security of the people.As a part of the security measures, helicopters will be pressed into service during the three-month-long fair, termed as the largest gathering of people for a religious purpose in the world, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank told reporters.
