The 17th edition of CII Coolex 2014 turned out to be a hit, yet again, as right from the day 1 (18th April), it drew phenomenal crowds to its various stalls at Himachal Bhawan in Chandigarh.
While the evenings were jampacked, the crowds never stopped pouring in even at daytime on all days to make full use of the new launches, attractive offers, schemes and discounted prices of cooling systems to combat the upcoming summers.
The most popular attractions were wide range of environment-friendly R- 410 A range of ACs, Inverter Technology ACs & Refrigerators, evaporative air coolers which save energy upto 25-30 %, Follow me Interactive – ACs and most fascinating newly launched Butterfly refrigerators which can open from 2 sides.
The Green and eco-friendly ACs and refrigerators also caught the fancy of visitors from HP, Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana which included residents, hoteliers, industrialists, factory owners, professionals, hospitals, large commercial establishments and the corporates. All the exhibitors were very delighted to receive good response for their new launches and latest products.
The exhibitors received more than 3000 business queries for various products with an estimated value in crores of rupees in the last 4 days from both residents as well as commercial establishments.
Mr Mohit Vashishth, Branch Manager, Hitachi (Chandigarh, Panchkula, Himachal Pradesh), said, “Our exclusive range of Tropical Compressor ACs & Invertor Technology Refrigerators were a big hit at the CII Coolex 2014. We had a walk in of 1500+ & over a 1000 queries. Such good response clearly reflects the kind of faith the Trictity people have in international brands like Hitachi.”
Mr Prakash Singh, Supervisor North, Whirlpool, shared a similar story, “The footfall on all 4 days of the fest was phenomenal. Both of our new launches ie 3D Cool ACs & Proton Refrigerators received high number of bookings, this is the reason that we even celebrated our success at CII Coolex 2014 with party poopers. We wish to come back next year with more innovative products to beat the heat.”
Mr Debashish Roy Choudhury, Manager Sales, Eco Cool+, Desiccant Rotors International Pvt Limited said, “In terms of commercial sales, our Arctic Evaporative Coolers received extremely good response from Institutions, poultry farms, green houses, mushroom farm houses across Tricity. The single unit of such cooler can be installed above any building, and with help of ductable windows, fresh & natural air can be enjoyed in each and every corner of the building.”
Mr Karan Thakur, Marketing Manager, Godrej & Boyceshared that “It is really encouraging to see the kind of interest the Tricity people have shown for Green energy products, whether it be Green Balance ACs or Edge Pro Refrigerators. We had a walk in of over 1500 and 1000+ queries in the 4-day fest.”
A lot of visitors are getting attracted to the latest Hi Tech models of ACs and Refrigerators capable of achieving maximum energy savings, based on Green and eco-friendly technologies and gases. Most of the companies have brought in gadgets with top most BEE ratings and efficiency levels. These are all capable of reducing your power bills by 25-30 %.
Sharp’sinteresting range of products like Butterfly Refrigerators, that opens from both sides and unique Inverter Technology ACs that have lowest power consumption, i.e Rs.3 per hour* also received huge response.
The Products on display include the latest range of ACs (Window, Split, Cassettes, Ductable, Tower & Inverter), Refrigerators, Air Purifiers, Arctic Coolers, Chest Freezers, City Multi Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems, Deep Freezers, Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERV), Evaporative Cooling Pads (ECP), Floor Standing Units, Water Coolers, Water Dispensers and much more.

Co Ltd, Hitachi Home, IFB Industries, Haier Appliances India, Electrolux, Videocon, Whirlpool, Voltas, Desiccant Rotors International, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, O’General, Zamil ACs, Sharp, Lloyd, Sidwal Refrigeration, Trane, Vestar etc.
Mr Pikender Pal Singh, Regional Director, CII Northern Region, said, “We are pleased with the tremendous response the show has received from the residents of the tricity. We plan to hold more such shows in the future as well with an aim to bring the latest & environment friendly, technologies, best quality and variety of products to the people of tricity.
CII Coolex 2014 concluded on Monday evening with a record number of visitors thronging Himachal Bhavan. In the weekends, the halls were packed to capacity with Saturday and Sunday being the busiest days.
