By Mariela Govea* : Many investigators and theologists devoted themselves to wrote books about Jesus ´s secret life : the period between his twelve and thirty years old, the gap, from his childhood to the beginning of his Ministry.Andreas Faber Kaiser and Holger Kersten both of them wrote controversial books about Jesus living in India.
Spanish-German writer, philosopher and researcher, Andreas Faber- Kaiser, was the
first one to write about this topic in Occident, in the earlies 1976. His book suggests the
fact that Jesus died at very advanced age. After healing the deep wounds caused by
crucifixtion, he runned away to the East and, then, began to look for Israel ´s lost
tribes. It was in Kashmir, India, where Jesus began a new life and died from natural
death at a very advanced age. Today his tomb is venerated in Srinagar, the capital of
Kashmir and is included in touristical visits in tourism guides.
But also Mother Mary ´s thomb was found in Pakistan, very close to Kashmir ´s
frontier. According to this theory, as it was told in Faber- Kaiser ´s book, Mother Mary
would have accompanied Jesus during his escape, and as she would not had been able
to stand the sufferings she died during the journey, very close to his son ´s destination,
Kashmir.
There are several testimonials that confirms Jesus chose this place, Kashmir, to begin a
brand new life. There are historical texts in laman and tibetan Lhasa, and also in laman
Hemis in Kashmir, that supports this information. Also, following a tradition which
goes back 3, 5000 years ago, and still goes on, there ´s a small jewish community that
being aware of this findings is taking care of both tombs from that time on.
Andreas Faber-Kaiser and Mercedes Castellanos travelled to Northern India in order to
gather documentation and testimonials for writing the book about his “lost years”. This
book turned fast into a polemic best-seller in Spain transition to democracy, and it was
soon translated in different languages.
Also a lot of authors popped up writing about this topic . Another other man who
gained notoriety due to his extense investigation was german theologist Holger Kersten
who wrote “Jesus Lived in India”, five years after Faber-Kaiser ´s book , in 1981
. “It is simply of vital importance to find again the path to the sources, to the eternal and
central truths of Christ’s message, which has been shaken almost beyond recognition by
the profane ambitions of more or less secular institutions arrogating to themselves a
religious authority. This is an attempt to open a way to a new future, firmly founded in
the true spiritual and religious sources of the past”.
This is the beginning of Holger Kersten’s book “Jesus Lived in India”.
This book is a thorough and methodical examination of the evidence of Christ’s life
beyond the Middle East before the Crucifixion and in India and elsewhere after it.
Kersten’s exhaustive research into Christ’s travels after the Crucifixion, his arrival in
India with Mother Mary and finally his death and entombment in Kashmir. Kersten
also thinks Jesus died from natural dead at an advanced age. “Jesus traveled to India to
study budhism”, Kersten declared.
Onother author who wrote about the same topic in his book”Beyond Psychology “was
Osho. He also believed Jesus never died on the cross, instead he was taken down
from the cross after six hours exposure. According to him, the arrangement was that
Jesus was crucified late in the afternoon, so before sunset he would be brought down
and afterwards, living in Kashmir he even turned 112 years.
