Farmers of Kaithal district of Haryana have adopted modern framing techniques and availed govt schemes to their benefit. Subegh Singh is a 60 year old progressive farmer of Khakhkhada village in Kaithal district. He has moved from conventional farming to double cropping and has earned huge profits.

Now many farmers of the district are cultivating their fields using drip irrigation through an underground pipe, saving water and money, and also earning higher profits. Subegh Singh has created a group of progressive farmers, who explain to educated youth the new techniques of farming.

This year, the farmers of the country have broken all records of food production. The youth of Kaithal have decided to change old cultivation methods and adopt only modern farming. They are also taking their message to other farmers and one hopes the Kaithal model of farming will spread across the country.
