Free Homeopathy Clinic Started at Bapudham

Chandigarh, February 3, 2010; Today, a charitable Homeopathic Dispensary has been inaugurated by Mrs Madhvi Kataria, P.C.S., at ‘Kitabghar’-the Children’s Library in Bapudham Colony Sector -26 Chandigarh. This Dispensary providing daily free medical help and medicines is started by Dev Raj Deora charitable trust & Yuvsatta-an NGO.

Mumbai Metro, Monorail projects to meet deadline

3 Feb : The first phase of Mumbai Metro and Monorail, aimed to benefit the suburban population in the metropolis, will meet its December 2010 deadline.
Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Naseem Khan said the work on the two mega projects is in advanced stages and would meet the deadline.

“80 per cent of Mumbai’s population lives in the suburbs and they would be benefited with the completion of these projects. The first phase covers Andheri-Versova-Ghatkopar through Metro and Chembur-Wadala section through Monorail,” Khan said.

Meira inaugurates exhibition on Indian democracy

3 Feb : An exhibition titled ‘Democracy in India from past to present’ was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar at Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha premises as part of the five-day-long conference of presiding officers and secretaries of legislative bodies in the country.

Internet ‘nominated for Nobel Peace Prize 2010′

3 Feb : The internet which has changed the life of people, has been nominated for the ‘2010 Nobel Peace Prize’.
The Internet was proposed by the Italian edition of the popular ‘Wired’ magazine for promoting “dialogue, debate and consensus through communication” as well as democracy, the media reported.
Premiere endorsers of internet for Nobel Peace Prize nomination include 2003 Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi and famous Italian surgeon, known for his contributions to breast cancer treatments, Umberto Veronesi.
