Chandigarh, October 31- Haryana Government has promoted six IAS officers to the rank of Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Above Supertime Scale) with immediate effect.
Those who had been promoted included Mrs Surina Rajan, Mr P. Raghavendra Rao, Mr P. K. Mahapatra,  Mr K. K. Khandelwal, Mr Dhanpat Singh and Mr Vijai Vardhan. All these officers are of the batch of 1985. All the officers whose promotion orders had been issued today will continue to function on their present place of posting till further orders.
The State Government has also granted proforma promotion to another IAS office, Mr Ram Niwas as Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary (Above Supertime Scale). Mr Ram Niwas is also of the same batch of 1985 and is senior to Mr P. Raghavendra Rao. He is presently on deputation with the Chandigarh Administration.
