Dr Vishali Gupta, Associate Professor, Advanced Eye Centre PGI received the prestigious Dr C Syamala Bhaskaran Award by the LV Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad for her contribution to the practice of ophthalmology and research. The award was given in recognition of her significant contribution of her research in the field of intraocular inflammations and infections and other diseases of the retina including diabetic retinopathy and retinal imaging. She has published more than 65 papers on these subjects and contributed 5 books. Her latest book on OCT, coauthored with Prof Amod Gupta and Dr M.R.Dogra was released at the American Academy of Ophthalmology San Fransisco last week.
