Time Management, Values and Hard Work – Key to Success :Tarannum Oberoi

Dr. Avnish Jolly,9 June:Time management’- only busy persons find time and every thing is possible is the answer she gives when asked how she could do so many things in such a short span. Full of melody and music, this Tarannum is all smiles. She participated in Thailand Open Draughts Tournament – 2008 and secured second position in youth category. The completion was tough but the determination was tougher, she says.

While she was in Thailand playing brilliantly against Grand Masters of Netherlands. CBSE Class 10 result was declared. She secured 86% and cried and cried. The family and friends were happy and she was crying – for she expected more than 90%. It took a lot of consoling from her team mates and sports teachers of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh to get her back to the game of draughts.

It is only a health body that has a healthy brain but commitment, passion, vision and hard work with family support also plays vital role to achieve sustainability. So what does she do to keep herself physically fit? Oh! Its softball and baseball. This January she and her team mates won gold in 53rd National School Games held in Chandigarh.

This Libran knows how to maintain balance between academics, sports and other activities in life. Her love for foreign language prompted her to do exceptionally well in diploma de language Française (Diploma in French Language) from Alliance Française, Sector 36, Chandigarh. She was probably the youngest student to get a diploma at the age of 15.

A perfect combination of hospitality, values, beauty and brains, this teenager loves books, movies and music. What next – Tarannum ? I ask. “Oh I am preparing for World Mind Ltanies Sports to be held at Beijing from 3rd October, 2008. “Good Luck” – I say Merci, au-renoir! She says.
